A bit about our background and how we started. Fresh start Franchises started with one persons dream that's Mr. Jose M. Vargas back when he owned a Business in New Jersey along with his brother. Mr. Vargas and his brother always thought about growing and expanding there business to other areas. There business grew to become one of New Jerseys Premier Painting business. They Have worked for New Jerseys largest companies, but that wasn't enough for Mr. Vargas dream. His dream was to move out of Jersey and live in the tropical climate of Puerto Rico

 

When Mr. Vargas set to move to Puerto Rico to enjoy the beautiful weather the island has to offer he also had two other goals, eat correct and workout to stay in shape. While looking for a healthy alternative to eat he stumbled upon Acai Express a healthy eating acai business that served fresh products to the customer so Mr. Vargas visited the Garden Hills location weekly to meet his healthy eating goal. After meeting that goal he set out to look for a place to workout. He spent time contemplating to join a cross fit gym or do as his brothers do and try Brazilian Jui Jitsu, he tried cross fit but wasn't challenging enough so he signed up to Cavalo Brazilian Jui Jitsu after about 4 months of being at the dojo he met Hector Westerband president of Acai Express and Ricardo Mercader Head of marketing at Acai Express. He started talking with them and told them that he eats there product weakly and that he loves the concept Mr. Westerband said to start a Franchise of Acai Express. 

 

After that meeting with Mr. Westerband he decided that Franchises was the way he saw his future going so he began Fresh Start Franchises with the vision to open an Acai express in Puerto Rico. He opened Fresh Start in March 2020 with the goal to open the First Acai express by the end of 2020.

We have great news as of December 2024 Fresh Start Franchises is expanding its operations to New Jersey under the leadership of Jose S. Vargas. This team will start with its first Acai Express location In New Jersey. We are currently looking for locations in Union County New Jersey.
